German electronic music duo Digitalism return to Melkweg! Their music is characterised by a unique blend of techno, indie rock and dance-pop, which has helped them build a loyal global fanbase. Collaborations with artists such as Daft Punk, Superorganism and Depeche Mode have cemented their position as pioneers in electronic music.
Optimism
What do we need now more than ever? Exactly, optimism! Digitalism’s brand-new album is due out on 29 May, and stems from the need for a more pleasant environment.
Jence and Isi on the album:
“In search of a better place, during an expedition led by our studio, we found it in a fireworks display of colours, chords and melodies. Most of the album was created in winter. The greyer the surroundings, the more colourful the music we began to make. OPTIMISM is intended as a landscape in which you can lose yourself.”
On 5 November, they’ll be bringing this brand-new project live to our stage.
